GOD CAN.

We continue to be amazed at what God is doing through Ethos! At the risk of repeating ourselves too frequently, the truth is, one of the best parts about Ethos is you. No matter how you found yourself reading our “2024 Year End Report," we love you and are honored to be in this together with every one of you! We don’t care what part we play; we are just thankful to play a part. As you read this report, our prayer is that you would sense the whisper of the Spirit saying to you, "Well done." We truly believe God is smiling on the collective work of Ethos and pray that you know how valuable you are. May we always be a church that is built on the sacrifice of many rather than the gifts of a few.

We thank God for all that He is doing in our community, and we believe that the best is yet to come! So, here’s to 2025! A year that we sense God is calling us to lean deeper into holistic discipleship as we live out our vision to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did. Let us be in awe of God. Let us live sent, open-handed, united, and full of faith that "God can ___". Let us reach, serve, & love more people than we ever dreamed possible, in Jesus’ name.

Love & Peace,

Jordan & Courtney

MOST PEOPLE HAVE YET TO EXPERIENCE THE REAL JESUS.

We are on a mission to change that.

COMMUNITY

Living life as a family is our priority

One of the best aspects about Ethos is the people! The Ethos Family is the heart and soul of our church and everything we do, whether creating spaces of belonging, serving with relentless generosity, or investing into each generation and transforming lives by loving all people in Jesus’ name.

Ethos 301 | Becoming Family

Ethos 101-301 is everyone's best step to learn more about the vision, mission, and culture of Ethos. And it is our pathway to being part of the Ethos family by joining a Servant Leader Team and using your gifts regularly through Ethos to serve and make a difference in Jesus' name.

In 2024, we have seen 125 people say yes to committing to the Ethos family and playing a part in our community.

Ethos Mentorship

In 2024, we concluded our 9-month mentorship groups where men and women who are seasoned in their faith are able to share their life experiences as followers of Jesus, and invest into mentees' lives. These mentorship groups are intentionally designed to create safe spaces to be authentic, vulnerable and be challenged to grow in mentees' spiritual life and leadership.

Jordan's Mentorship Story

image.png

I have been attending Ethos since July of 2023. Shortly after starting at Ethos, I met with Vinnie and he introduced some exciting things on the horizon, including Ethos Mentorship. I was intrigued but admittedly it wasn't something I would even consider doing. My wife and I were going through some tough times spiritually as we struggled to start a family and were working to find our faith identity as we had drifted away over recent years without a true church home. Hearing about it again from Pastor Jordan in his weekly messages, Mentorship kept knocking on my heart and mind, but I wasn’t opening the door. The day before applications were due, my wife and I were driving home from church, and I was hit so hard with the need to signup for Mentorship that I almost drove off the road. The rest, as they say, is history.

Mentorship provided me with everything I expected and so much more. It provided me with a brotherhood of men seeking the same thing I desperately needed, a walk closer to Jesus in every aspect of life, and mentors in Steve and Eric that came into my life at exactly the right time. The curriculum was impactful, but the discussions and fellowship with our group were transformative, culminating with our "graduation retreat" which was one of the many highlights. In the stillness of our "Letter from God" activity, I have never felt closer to Jesus and his comfort. As I reflect on mentorship, I find my faith in Jesus renewed and deeper than I could have ever imagined. Historically I was a back row church attendee that slipped in and out of service to check a box. Now I find myself serving with my family, both biological and church, most Sundays as part of the first responder team. Because of mentorship, I am equipped to continue to grow in my faith, be the best husband, son, brother, and, blessed to say, father to my son.

Practicing the Way

2024 marked the beginning of The Practicing the Way courses. The Practicing the Way Course is an table-based discussion group that explores what it means to follow Jesus and lays the foundation for a life of apprenticeship to Him. At the start of the New Year, the practice focused on prayer with 37 participants. And this fall, we saw 43 people take the step to understanding the foundation of intentional spiritual formation.

Practicing the Way
Story

For us, this year has been about recalibration. Creating margin to seek, dig deep and reprioritize the things that matter most.  As we have been reshaping our lives to be more fully present and intentional, we felt that Practicing The Way would provide us with an opportunity to examine and reset our spiritual disciplines individually and as a family. Over the course of those 8 weeks, not only did we have the opportunity to dig in a bit deeper, but we were able to connect and chat candidly with others from within the Ethos family about their lives and continued pursuit of spiritual formation.

We are both leaving Practicing The Way with remembrance of knowing that spiritual formation is connected to LOVE and that our pursuit of being formed by Jesus is a lifelong work that will continue to grow, evolve and deepen, as our lives continue on. While spiritual formation is not new to our family, this course has given us new language on communicating with one another about our individual relationships with Christ and some revelation on where we need to better infuse certain spiritual disciplines into our family’s DNA, so they are a part of our heart and collective cadence.

Servant Leaders

We are leaders who serve and servants who lead to make a difference throughout our city. Servant leaders give their time, energy, and talents to build the Kingdom of God via Ethos through various servant leadership teams from Monday through Sunday.

Water Baptisms

In 2024, we hosted Water Baptism experiences to celebrate life change and their decision to follow Jesus. We saw 31 adults, students, and children share their story of accepting Jesus into their lives and make a public declaration of their faith with family and friends.

Zack & Kelsey's Baptism Story

baptism.jpg

We had both been raised in church, but over time had faded away from God. Throughout our lives, we have walked through and experienced some really challenging situations. Even in those dark moments and when we had strayed away from Jesus, he showed up to be present with us. One of those ways was through our brother, John. He had been attending Ethos and been inviting our family to join him at church on Sundays. What started as a invitation to church to see my brother sing with the band, turned into Sundays with Ethos becoming a weekly part of our family tradition. Since being part of Ethos, Jesus has proved to be without a doubt real to us and is part of our everyday life as individuals and a family.

We decided to be water baptized because we have experienced God's love to be unwavering and that He has always been there for us. For us, water baptism was to reflect the washing off the old and heavy life to emerge from the water as a child of God. It was a special day for us too as our girls were able to join us and see us publicly declare that we are committed to following Jesus.

ETHOS KIDS

Our greatest investment as a church may not be something we do,

but the CHILDREN we raise together.

ETHOS YTH

We are all about embracing the fun and energy of middle and high school students partnered with creating space practical conversations about following Jesus.

This year, we took some students on our first ever overnight camp. Here are a few of their stories.

Global Mission Trip
(El Salvador)

We took a team of 19 servant leaders to El Salvador where we had the opportunity to connect with church staff in the city of San Miguel. We were able to do a number of projects to help serve the church and surrounding communities. The one week we are there helps pastors Ivo and Giovanni and their teams connect with and serve people the other 51 weeks we aren’t there.
